This is an example of a Post – another way of sharing a story. What’s the news? Has a paper been published, are you off to a conference to give a talk, has a member of the lab just been awarded their PhD? Tell the world here.
Suggestions for settings / details in the Add a New Post screen after you’ve written your post:
- Make sure ‘Allow Comments’ is unticked (bottom of this page – be aware it is ticked by default)
- Change ‘Page Layout’ to ‘Fullwidth’ (top right hand corner)
- Click ‘Set featured image’ (bottom right hand corner)
- Tick the ‘News’ category in the “Categories” box (middle right hand side of the screen)
- There is an example ‘Blog’ module in the News page; this is set to include all Posts which have the category “News”
- This way you can add a news story and have it appear in a Blog module in the right place automatically
